Leila Ouahabi is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Women's Super League club Manchester City and the Spain national team.
She was born in Spain, but her family have Moroccan roots.
She was one of Las 15, a group of players who made themselves unavailable for international selection in September 2022 due to their dissatisfaction with head coach Jorge Vilda, and among the dozen who were not involved 11 months later as Spain won the World Cup.
She played a lot of futsal with her brothers as a child. The coach of local futsal club worked also as supervisor in school where Ouahabi went to. He saw her play on the corridor and asked her mom, who worked here in the kitchen, if she can come to the training.
She has a butterfly matching tattoo with her former Barcelona teammate Patri Guijarro. They made it together after they won Champions League.
