Shelby Ann Hogan is an American professional soccer goalkeeper for NJ/NY Gotham FC of the National Women's Soccer League.
She graduated from Providence College in December 2020 with a bachelor of science degree.
In her friendly debut for Portland Thorns FC, Shelby saved three penalty shots in a shootout win during the 2021 Women's International Champions Cup semi-final.
She has represented the U.S. at the U-18, U-20 (training camp invite), and U-23 levels.
She is the first college athlete in her family.
Growing up, Shelby was always playing outside with her dad and brother, driven by a strong competitive spirit.
A youth coach pushed Shelby to choose between field play and goalkeeping, and she picked goalkeeper because she loved taking risks and playing brave.
She has a dog named Izzo.
