Sarah Schupansky is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for NJ/NY Gotham FC of the National Women's Soccer League.

Did You Know?

She began playing soccer at around two or three years old by hopping into her older sister’s youth games, which were coached by their father.
No one else in Sarah’s family had played soccer; her mom had played sports casually, and her dad had run cross country in high school.
She admired U.S. national team players Alex Morgan, Rose Lavelle, and Crystal Dunn.
In March 2025, she was called into training camp with the United States under-23 team, where she practiced alongside the senior national team.
She graduated high school a semester early to start college mid-pandemic.
She doesn’t listen to music before games — she rides the team bus in silence, visualizing the match. If she does turn on music, it’s usually something chill… like Pop Smoke.
Her pregame ritual? Mental visualization — seeing herself on the field, calm and in control.
Her mom doesn’t know much about soccer but gives her the best advice: “Just play like yourself.”
Her most embarrassing moment is that she once forgot her entire soccer bag — cleats and all — before her state final in high school.
She’s into relative strength training like pull-ups, chin-ups, and pistol squats — not a fan of heavy max lifts.
She doesn't drink coffee.
She finished her collegiate career with 32 goals and 43 assists in 82 games, becoming the first Pitt player to earn All-ACC First Team honors in 2023 and leading the NCAA in assists in 2024.
She earned Gotham's Player of the Match on her debut.
