Lourdes Romero

She was born in Konstanz, Germany, and has Spanish roots.

Her journey spans Switzerland and Austria: she started in FC Zürich’s youth teams, played two seasons at FC Luzern, returned to Zürich, then starred in Austria with Sturm Graz.

Her biggest career highlight so far was playing in the Champions League against Arsenal.

She considers one-on-one situations her greatest strength as a goalkeeper.

She first became a goalkeeper because she had a crush on a boy and wanted to spend more time with him, but she soon discovered her passion and love for football.

As a child, she always loved catching balls, and her mother recalls that she constantly wanted to hold one.

She enjoys diving through the air to make big saves.
