Maite Oroz is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur and the Spain women's national team.
Oroz began playing football with boys in the village team CD Huarte from the age of 6.
Oroz was born in Huarte, region Navarre in the north part of Spain. Navarre is also part of Basque Country. In 2017, Oroz played for the unofficial Basque Country and Navarre representative teams.
Oroz debuted in Spanish Primera División as 17 years old in September 2015. In that 2015/2016 season, she won the league with Athletic Club, Barcelona ended on 2nd place, Atlético Madrid 3rd.
Oroz joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2020 and immediately became a part of Real Madrid's history by being one of the 11 players to start in their first official match in October 2020.
In February 2024, Oroz celebrated milestone of one hundred league games for Real Madrid.
