Arsenal sign goalkeeper Anneke Borbe on a free transfer
Anneke Borbe’s agreement with VfL Wolfsburg officially ended in summer 2025—she was one of ten players whose contract was not renewed.
Aged 24, the German shot-stopper became Wolfsburg’s starting keeper mid-season, featuring in 10 Bundesliga fixtures and three Champions League matches last campaign.
Borbe will join current keepers Daphne van Domselaar and Manuela Zinsberger in place. Arsenal pursued her as Zinsberger’s contract looks set to expire, and her experience brings options under pressure.
