After two big losses, London City Lionesses can finally celebrate their first win in the WSL. Isobel Goodwin scored twice to seal the victory.

  • London City Lionesses earned their first ever WSL win, beating Everton 2-1 at Goodison Park, thanks to two goals from Isobel Goodwin.
  • Goodwin opened the scoring in the 13th minute, smashing into the roof of the net after a corner. She doubled the lead just before the hour, finishing a cut-back from Nikita Parris.
  • Everton pulled one back when Jana Fernandez fouled substitute Yuka Momiki in the box; Momiki converted the penalty in the 71st minute. Despite late pressure, Everton could not equalise.
  • The result lifted London City to eighth place in the WSL table, while Everton sit sixth after consecutive defeats.
