Majority owner of the club Michele Kang announced that Olympique Lyonnais Féminin will rebrand as OL Lyonnes. The new name combines "lioness" with "Lyon," symbolizing strength and a connection to the city. Kang is also owner of english club London City Lionesses, which recently promoted to Women's Super League.
The rebranding introduces a new logo featuring a roaring red lioness with blue and gold accents and the motto "New Story, Same Legend," reflecting the club's heritage and future ambitions.
The women's team will swap training facilities with the club's boys' academy, renovating the new space into a performance center specifically designed for female athletes
OL Lyonnes will now play all home games at the 59,000-seat Groupama Stadium, which previously hosted the 2019 Women's World Cup final. This move aims to provide players and fans with a premier matchday experience.
