Real Madrid and Abbott have launched a groundbreaking global initiative blending elite football training with cutting-edge sports science and nutrition. From U.S. tryouts to Madrid’s famed training ground, this program is shaping the next generation of players.
- Eleven standout players will be selected to travel to Madrid in November 2025. There, they will train at Real Madrid’s Ciudad Real Madrid facility, attend a match at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, and engage in educational sessions at the on-site “Abbott – Real Madrid Innovation Lab” with the club’s medical team and Abbott nutrition scientists.
- This initiative builds on the enduring Abbott–Real Madrid partnership (since 2021) and their global “Beat Malnutrition” campaign. To date, the collaboration has delivered tens of thousands of education hours and screened thousands of children for malnutrition risk worldwide.
- Central to the partnership is the Abbott–Real Madrid Innovation Lab, established at the club’s Madrid training complex. There, Abbott scientists and Real Madrid’s medical staff collaborate on research into strength, immunity, hydration, recovery, and injury prevention—benefiting elite athletes and informing broader sports science applications .
