Alejandría Godínez is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper.
Godínez was born in Acámbaro, Guanajuato, but moved to the United States as a child, growing up in the Chicago area.
She played collegiate soccer for the DePaul Blue Demons from 2012 to 2015, where she recorded 25 career shutouts.
Before the professional league started in Mexico, she was a standout at Bartlett High School in Illinois, where she was an All-State selection.
Off the pitch, she is an advocate for mental health in sports and has shared her personal experiences with the pressures of professional goalkeeping.
During the 2023 Pan American Games, she helped Mexico win its first-ever gold medal in women's football by keeping a clean sheet in the final against Chile.
Alejandría is a dog lover and has a dog named Tommy.
She reached a milestone of 200 appearances in the Liga MX Femenil during the 2025/2026 season.
