Danielle Turner is a professional English footballer who currently plays as a defender for Aston Villa.

Did You Know?

When regular Everton goalkeeper picked up a knock towards the end of the first half, 25-year-old Turner donned the gloves and took her place between the posts, keeping a clean sheet for the second half and 30 minutes of extra time and winning a penalty shootout. She was awarded SSE Women's FA Cup player of round four for her goalkeeping heroics. “I loved it – I had 75 minutes in net, and kept a clean sheet. If it was to ever happen again, I’d certainly volunteer!”, Turner said.
Turner has international experience with both the England Under-19 and Under-23 teams which she considers her biggest achievement.
After joining Everton Women’s Academy at 15, Danielle Turner has been instrumental in the team’s achievements over the last decade. She has played in two FA Cup finals, led the team to win the Championship title, ensuring their promotion to the Women’s Super League in 2017, and served as the team captain for five years.
She recently developed an interest in curling, inspired by the Winter Olympics, despite, as she says, not being very good at it and not being good on ice.
Her favorite artists are Beyoncé and Adele.
She has a master's degree in Sport and Exercise Physiology from Liverpool John Moores University.
