Hillary Gnoko Diaz is a French international defender and midfielder for FC Fleury 91 in the French Première Ligue, on loan from Inter Milan, and a senior France international.
She joined the FC Nantes academy in 2012 for her eighth birthday and made her debut with the first team at just 15.
During her time at Nantes she combined elite football with studies at INSEP, taking classes during the week in Paris and playing for FC Nantes at the weekend.
Her brother is centre-back Michel Junior Diaz, who came through Nantes’ academy. He plays on loan at Brest from Troyes and represents Ivory Coast internationally.
Through her family she has Ivorian roots, while representing France all the way from youth level to the senior national team.
Early in her Bordeaux spell she was sidelined for around three and a half months because of a blood insufficiency problem in her calves.
