Pénélope Cuirinier is a French goalkeeper for FC Fleury 91 in France’s Arkema Première Ligue and a former standout for the Akron Zips in NCAA Division I.
Before leaving for the United States, she played from age 9 to 18 in the Olympique Lyonnais girls’ setup
At Akron University in the US, she majored in international business, pairing her football career with business studies.
She put together one of Akron’s longest shutout streaks ever. They went nearly 530 minutes without conceding, the second-longest streak of clean sheets in Zips women’s football history at the time.
