Janne Krumme

Janne came through local youth setups (including training at Preussen and Kaiserau sports school), featuring in youth female squads and then the boys’/mixed development teams.

Janne is studying at the Kaiserau Sports School. Previously she studied at the Gymnasium Johanneum in Ostbevern.

Versatility is her great strength: her preference is for the goalkeeper position, but she is also more than passable as an outfield player.

Marc-André ter Stegen is her sporting role model.

She loves a good cup of coffee.

She began her football journey as an attacking midfielder and striker rather than a goalkeeper.

Her move into goal happened almost by accident: her district representative team needed a goalkeeper, and she volunteered.

Painting is one of her favourite ways to relax and switch off from football.

Before an evening match, she sometimes spends part of the day painting to stay calm.

Her small pre-match ritual is putting on her right goalkeeping glove first.
