Eleni Markou is a Greek footballer who plays as a defender for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Frauen-Bundesliga and the Greece national team.
Markou has said that football was part of her life from a very early age — she remembers “a ball at her feet” from childhood and grew up in the Kastoria area. Her father’s love of football helped introduce her to the sport - she has described football as “a big love” since childhood.
After graduating from the 2nd High School of Kastoria in 2016, she moved to the United States.
She was enrolled at Monroe Community College, a state university in New York State. [1] For the sports team of the educational institution, the Tribunes, she played in 19 championship games from 26 August to 18 November, in which she scored 29 goals.
