İlayda Açıkgöz is a German-Turkish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Frauen-Bundesliga and the youth Germany national team.

She played youth and early senior for FSV Waiblingen (boys’ team) then joined Eintracht Frankfurt II in 2021, moved into the first‑team by 2022.

Her identical twin sister Dilara Açıkgöz is also a football player, they are both playing for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Açıkgöz's mother once played football for TSV Crailsheim in the 2nd Women's Bundesliga.

Ilayda is of a Turkish heritage.

She was part of the Germany U19 team that reached the final of the U19 European Championship.

In an interview she mentioned looking up to German international with Turkish roots Mesut Özil and Lina Magull early in her career.

During her time off the pitch, she enjoys listening to music and keeps up with fashion.

She supports the men’s team at Eintracht Frankfurt and often goes to the Waldstadion to support them.

Ilayda loves a good cup of coffee.

She loves both dogs and cats.

Ilayda suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in her right knee in early May (2024) during training. She worked strong on her recovery and is back in full power.
