Karen Irasema Luna De Los Santos is a Mexican footballer who plays as a defender. She has represented Mexico at senior level.
Her football story started early: she said she was already playing at five or six, mostly with boys in the street after school.
She did not join a girls’ team until she was around 14 or 15, when she was in high school.
Before going pro, she came through the women’s football setup linked to the Autonomous University of Nuevo León.
Two of her early football inspirations were Walter Gaitán and Antonio “Diablo” Núñez.
Her off-pitch interests could lead her toward sports physiotherapy or pediatrics, especially because she enjoys working with children.
She grew up in a football-mad Tigres family and once said she was the most Tigres-identified person at home.
