Nubia Januário Lopes da Conceição, commonly known as Nubia, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a defender. She has represented Brazil at the youth international level.
Nubia was born in Nova Iguaçu, in the Baixada Fluminense region, and started playing football on local neighborhood dirt pitches as a child.
Her football journey took a major step forward when she joined Daminhas da Bola, a traditional development project for girls in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
She is known for her commanding physical presence and aerial dominance, standing exceptionally tall for a footballer at 1.90 meters.
She uses her immense height, strength, and precise timing to act as a lethal offensive weapon for Flamengo on set-pieces like corners and lateral free kicks.
She reached a massive career milestone in April 2026 when she was specially honored by Flamengo for officially playing her 100th match for the club.
