Amenan Joëlle Rosemonde Kouassi is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays as a forward for National Women's Soccer League club Washington Spirit and the Ivory Coast national team.
She is an inspiration for young girls in Ivory Coast, showing them what's possible to achieve.
She comes from Toumodi in Côte d'Ivoire.
She started playing as a child by following her brother when he went to play.
She began her career as a teenager with Juventus de Yopougon in Ivory Coast before moving to Israel.
Before her time in France, she played in Israel with Hapoel Ra'anana, where she had a promising start but returned to Ivory Coast to continue her career with Africa Sports.
She won the Ivorian championship in 2021 with Africa Sports.
She was named the best Ivorian player in 2020-2021, recognized as the "Best Hope" in the French Division 1 in 2021-2022, and crowned the best Ivorian player abroad for the same season.
She capped for Ivory Coast at senior level during the 2020 CAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
She said it was a dream come true to be featured in FIFA 23. She considered buying a console because of it.
In 2023, she was included in the Division 1's team of the season.
She was a NWSL Championship runner-up with Washington Spirit in her first season, losing to Orlando in the final.
