Trudi Sudan Carter is a Jamaican professional footballer who plays as a forward for Espanyol and the Jamaica women's national team.
She was born in Kingston, Jamaica and began her football journey there.
She later moved to the United States, where she played college soccer at Navarro College and then at the University of South Florida.
She signed with AS Roma's women's team in 2018, marking her entry into European football. However, her stint was marred by a significant knee injury that required two surgeries and extensive rehabilitation.
She was instrumental in Jamaica's historic qualification for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, marking the nation's first appearance in the tournament.
In rapid-fire questions, Trudi chose chocolate over vanilla, spaghetti over pizza, and said sheâd rather be a child forever. Sheâd love to read minds as a superpower, canât live without her mom (or a football), would spend her last âŹ5 on milk chocolate, and picked Messi over Ronaldo.
As a child, she supported Harbour View FC.
She loves curry goat and curry chicken with rice.
She enjoys watching Friends and the film Beyond the Lights.
Her favorite music genres are dancehall and rap, and her top artists include Selena Gomez, Future, Jahmiel, and Travis Scott.
If not a footballer, sheâd be a teacher and business owner.
