Another big boost for the WSL newcomer

London City Lionesses are set to begin their first season in England's top flight on September 6 against Arsenal at their home ground, Emirates Stadium. The club has already announced several big names – in addition to Daniëlle van de Donk for example, Nikita Parris has now also signed.

  • England forward Nikita Parris, aged 31, has signed a two‑year contract as free agent with the newly promoted London City Lionesses, extending through summer 2027.
  • A seasoned England international with spells at Everton, Manchester City, Arsenal, Lyon, Manchester United, and recently Brighton, Parris has won multiple titles including the UEFA Women’s Champions League (2019/20) and Euro 2022.
  • In her single season with Brighton (2024/25), she scored 7 goals and provided 5 assists in 22 WSL appearances, helping the Seagulls reach their highest-ever league finish.
  • Parris is one of the new signings announced by London City Lionesses, joining additions like Danielle van de Donk, Sanni Franssi, Elene Lete, Isa Kardinaal, Teyah Goldie, and Poppy Pattinson and the most recently Freya Godfrey.
