After the 6–1 win over Wales, substitutes Beth Mead and Aggie Beever-Jones celebrated by clicking their fingers while running along the bench. The gesture, dubbed a “positive click,” came from a WhatsApp group chat called “The Finishers”, started by Maya Le Tissier for the substitutes. Chloe Kelly explained it symbolizes readiness and unity among players coming off the bench.
The squad remains connected to Euro 2022 through an old WhatsApp group that includes retired stars Mary Earps and Ellen White, who continue to offer encouragement.
