Angharad Jane James, also known as Angharad James-Turner, is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for National Women's Soccer League club Seattle Reign and the Wales national team.
She is the youngest ever Welsh player to earn 100 caps for the national team.
She played cricket and was capped internationally at Under-15 level.
She married fellow professional footballer Amy Turner in June 2023, and they began playing under their married names in 2024. They were teammates at Notts County, Orlando Pride and Tottenham.
The couple launched a coffee business from a vintage van, with Angharad joking that she mainly handles front-of-house duties while Amy runs the social media.
She has a dog named Betsy.
Her father, Clive James, played and coached for Narberth RFC, a Welsh rugby club.
She speaks Welsh, viewing it not only as an expression of her identity but also a tactical advantage when playing English-speaking opposition.
She played for 11 clubs across England and the USA, including Arsenal, Reading, Everton, and Seattle Reign.
