Madeline Grace Dahlien is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Seattle Reign FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She played college soccer for the North Carolina Tar Heels, winning the 2024 national championship.
In high school, Maddie was a standout in both soccer and track, earning titles of Ms. Soccer and Ms. Track & Field in Minnesota in 2021.
In high school track, she swept the 100, 200, and 400 meters as a junior and won the 200 meters and long jump as a senior.
She represented the U.S. U-20 Women's National Team, scoring crucial goals and contributing to the team's bronze medal finish at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
She was called into the USWNT Futures Camp in January 2025, practicing alongside senior national team players.
She prefers not to be called "Madeline" — she’s more comfortable with Maddie, Mads, MD, or Dahls.
She majored in media and journalism as well as advertisement and public relations at the University of North Carolina.
She loves Hallmark Christmas movies and even has a tradition with her stepmom to make a list of favorites to watch during the holiday season.
She has been to Paisley Park, Prince’s iconic home and studio in Minnesota, and loves Prince’s music, especially “Purple Rain” and “I Would Die For You.”
