Kirsten Wright, formerly Davis, is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Racing Louisville FC of the National Women's Soccer League.
She started playing soccer at four years old.
After scoring goals, she would jump and hang off the crossbar, a moment often captured in family photos.
Her parents got her into soccer, signing her up with her friends. She also loved practicing in the backyard with her dad.
While living in Australia during middle school, she realized soccer was her passion and decided to keep playing as long as she could.
She admired Alex Morgan growing up and wanted to play like her. Now, she feels itâs amazing to play on the same field as her.
After a game in her first NWSL season, she got to shake Alex Morganâs hand and thought it was a special moment.
She said her first season in 2022 was a dream come true.
She earned a degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University.
She ended her Texas Tech career having scored the second-most goals in program history, behind Janine Beckie, with 45 goals and 112 points.
Racing Louisville FC selected Davis in the second round of the 2021 NWSL Draft with the 12th-overall pick.
She missed the entire 2024 season due to knee injury.
She married Garrett Wright in December 2022.
She has played in international tournaments in Honduras and Ireland with U.S. Soccer.
Off the field, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
She would love to play in Australia, where she lived for four years and made lifelong friends.
Her favorite pre-game song is âI Gotta Feelingâ by Black Eyed Peas. Itâs been her go-to since she was young.
She tries to be like a "goldfish" from Ted Lasso, quickly forgetting mistakes to stay positive.
