Celia Jiménez Delgado, commonly known as Celia, is a former Spanish professional footballer who most recently played for Orlando Pride of the National Women's Soccer League and the Spain national team.
She started playing football at the age of 6 as the only girl on the team.
She started playing with girls when she was ten which she says opened up a new world for her that she didn't know existed.
She really loves the outdoors and adventures in nature.
She likes it when American fans speak Spanish to her.
She loves mountain biking.
The thing she misses the most about Spain is the food, especially the jamón serrano (cured ham) and toast with olive oil.
Her favorite activities are hiking, kayaking and camping.
She has a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Alabama.
She also has an MBA from Washington State University.
She chose to study in the US to be able to balance education and football.
She was the first player in Alabama history to be drafted into the NWSL.
One of the most memorable experiences of her career is playing at the 2015 World Cup in Canada as the youngest player in the Spain squad.
She likes to have toast with extra virgin olive oil from Jaén, grated tomato, and ibérico ham for breakfast every day.
She always eats pasta and meat before games to avoid cramps.
She doesn't like ice cream. She prefers sour candy.
