Steph Houghton is an English professional footballer who plays for Women's Super League club Manchester City and has appeared for the England national team.
Houghton has played over 120 times for the England national team.
At the 2012 London Olympics, Houghton scored three goals in Great Britain's four games, including winners against New Zealand and Brazil.
In 2016, she was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) for her achievements in women's football both on and off the pitch.
In October 2014, Houghton was the first female player to appear on the cover of Shoot magazine.
Houghton is married to former football player Stephen Darby. They married on 21 June 2018.
She becames the first player to reach 100 WSL wins and 200 Manchester City appearances.
She retired from her active playing career in 2024.
