Kathleen Camille Lind, née Naughton, is an American professional soccer defender who plays for Houston Dash in the National Women's Soccer League.

Kevin proposed on Notre Dame’s campus, where they had special memories together, including a picture with their dog Corbe. The proposal was near a little church where Kevin had asked Katie to be his girlfriend years earlier.

Katie and her husband had their first child in 2024. His name is Thomas James.

She idolized Mia Hamm growing up and had posters of her in her room.

She was the only girl on a boys’ soccer team for six years before switching to girls’ teams in middle school.

She played basketball, ran cross-country, and even attempted volleyball.

She ran a 5:41 mile in junior high, which might still be the school record.

She had to adjust to Houston’s extreme heat and humidity after moving from Chicago. When she first arrived in Houston, she struggled to catch her breath during training.

She switched from coffee to matcha because coffee made her anxious and jittery.

She's into true crime podcasts, especially "My Favorite Murder" and "Criminal." She also enjoys watching crime TV shows like "NCIS" and "Snapped."

If she weren’t playing soccer, she'd pursue a career in forensics, tapping into her anthropology background—fitting given her interest in true crime!

Her go-to cheat meal is a "warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream," and she misses Portillo’s chocolate cake shake and cheesy fries when she’s away from Chicago.

Playing against Alex Morgan in her first professional game was a standout moment, as was defending Sam Kerr in practice, which pushed her to become a better player.

One of her favorite booka is "Where the Crawdads Sing."

Katie's mom is the oldest of 11 kids, and Katie is an only child. She shared a funny story about family photos, where the photographer had to step back 40 yards to fit everyone in a shot.

She enjoys talking on the phone with her friends and family, which helps her relax. She also uses other forms of relaxation, such as taking Epsom salt baths to take care of her body and relax.

She has a dog named Corby.
