Berenice Ibarra Hernández is a Mexican footballer who plays as a defender. She has represented Mexico at youth level.
She was just 15 when she made her Liga MX Femenil debut with Pachuca.
Football entered her life because her brothers trained and she could not stay still on the sidelines.
She reached her second FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup as Mexico’s captain and led them to bronze medals.
One of her most emotional family memories came on her Liga MX Femenil debut: her relatives travelled in secret to watch her first-team bow against Necaxa and then celebrated with her afterward.
