Kenti Robles is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a defender for Spanish club Real Madrid CF and the Mexico women's national team.
Her full name Vaitiare Kenti Robles Salas but is is known as Kenti Robles
She holds dual Spanish and Mexican citizenship
Her mother is originally from Peru
When Robles was eight years old, her parents were offered a job position in a well-known hotel in the Dominican Republic and the family moved there. Her brother was born there
After several years her family spent in Dominican Republic, they moved to Madrid after her parents received job offer there. Later they moved to Barcelona. "All my life I have been immigrating to different countries," stated Robles in her blogpost.
When she was growing up in Spain, she received sexist comments for playing soccer and also for the color of her skin
Although she gained Spanish citizenship in 2011, she continues represent Mexico on international level
