Alexa Ximena Martínez Gutiérrez is a Mexican footballer who plays as a defender, primarily at right back. She has represented Mexico at youth international level.

Football became part of her life while she was still in primary school, with her brother Ángel helping spark her interest in the game.

One school tournament changed how her family viewed her football. Representing her school at a national competition, Alexa scored an extraordinary 50 goals during the tournament.

She regularly played with boys while developing her game. Before entering Pachuca's academy, Alexa competed in tournaments for boys' teams as part of her early football development.

Her route into Pachuca was anything but instant. Alexa went to as many as five separate trials before finally earning a place with the Tuzas in 2023.
