During her time at Tigres UANL, she suffered a significant injury that kept her sidelined for approximately six months between January and June of 2024.

After recovering from her long-term injury at Tigres, she regained match fitness by playing six matches for their Sub-19 (U-19) squad before her transfer to Toluca.

Muñoz made her professional debut in the Liga MX Femenil at the age of 15, appearing for Club León in a match against Toluca on January 11, 2021.
