Briseida Velásquez

Velásquez is originally from Iztapalapa, a borough of Mexico City, before moving to Toluca to pursue her football career.

Velásquez is a "canterana escarlata," meaning she was developed entirely within Toluca’s own youth academy system.

She made her professional first-team debut on January 7, 2024, in a Liga MX Femenil match against Santos Laguna.

She is a big dog lover.

Before debuting with the senior team, she was a standout performer in the Toluca youth categories, helping the club secure multiple championships at the junior level.

She is noted by her club as being a versatile defender who is naturally "both-footed," allowing her to play comfortably on either side of the defense.

Briseida loves spending time around the water, especially watcing sunsets.
