Brenda Woch da Graça Rodrigues is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a forward. She has represented Brazil at youth international level, including at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
She started playing football in the streets with boys when she was six years old.
Brenda witnessed the murder of her mother when she was 12 years old. Less than two years later, her father and brother were also killed. She has spoken publicly about football helping her survive those experiences.
After losing her parents, she lived with different relatives before eventually settling with an aunt who became her permanent home.
Before playing professionally in women’s football, she played for boys’ teams in Maceió, including Parma Brejal and Craques do Futuro.
Brenda also played beach football and futsal before fully transitioning into the women’s game.
One of the places that impacted her most through football was Ecuador, where she visited an orphanage during the South American U-20 Championship.
Brenda has said that one of her biggest dreams is to create an institution that helps vulnerable people and children.
She suffered a serious ACL injury during training shortly after arriving at Grêmio in 2025 but later returned to help the team win the Campeonato Gaúcho Feminino title.
Brenda represented Brazil at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France and won the South American Women’s U-20 Championship.
