Caitlin Meghani Cosme is an American-born professional footballer who plays as a defender for FC Nantes in France’s top division and represents the Puerto Rico women’s national team.
She is of Puerto Rican and Indian heritage, and she loves sharing her culture through food.
Athletics run in her family: both of her parents were professional tennis players, and though they initially expected her to pursue tennis, Caitlin fell in love with football at age 7.
She majored in psychology at Duke University en.wikipedia.org and even talked about wanting to become a surgeon.
In 2023 she became a Global Ambassador for Grassroot Soccer, a charity that uses football to educate and empower young people to live healthier lives.
Her favorite athlete isn’t a footballer but tennis legend Serena Williams.
