Ashleigh Joëlle Elisabeth Weerden is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a left winger or left-back for Women's Super League club Crystal Palace.
She began playing football at the age of 7.
She began her football journey at SC Buitenboys, a local Amsterdam club.
She made her professional debut at Twente in 2017 at just 18 years old.
She’s played in three countries so far: Netherlands (Twente, Ajax), France (Montpellier), and now England (Crystal Palace).
She came through the ranks at Ajax’s Centre for Top Sports and Education, joining at age 15.
She won the Eredivisie Women twice — once with FC Twente and again with Ajax.
She loves sneakers and is an active collector.
She studied Marketing and Communication at both Johan Cruyff College.
Her ultimate 5-a-side team includes Selma Bacha, Ashley Lawrence, Salma Paralluelo, Linda Caicedo, and Sam Kerr.
