Ann My Cato is a Swedish professional footballer who plays a midfielder for Women's Super League club Crystal Palace.
She began her football journey with Eneby BK before joining her hometown club, IFK Norrköping, at the age of 14.
She made her professional debut in 2016 in Division 1 Mellersta, the third tier of Swedish football.
She credits her older sister, who is five years her senior, as her inspiration to start playing football, aiming to emulate her sibling's path.
She embraces her Swedish heritage and is proud to represent her hometown of Norrköping on the international stage.
In 2021, Cato returned to Norrköping and, after scoring eight times in 24 appearances from the centre of the park, guided her local team to promotion to the top-flight.
At 21, she was the youngest captain in the Swedish top league in 2023.
She earned her first senior national team call-up in the summer of 2024.
She has a tattoo that represents her late grandmother.
