Elli-Noora Kainulainen

Elli-Noora was born in Vantaa, one of Finland's football hotbeds, and has spent virtually her entire career developing within the Finnish league before moving abroad.

Before joining Napoli, she played for five different Finnish clubs, steadily climbing from PK-35 Vantaa to champions HJK.

Elli-Noora reached the milestone of 100 matches in the Finnish top flight during the 2025 campaign. HJK highlighted the achievement when announcing her move to Napoli.

Before joining HJK, she spent a season in the United States, playing college football for Florida International University (FIU). The experience broadened both her football and personal development before she returned to Finland.

HJK supporters knew her by the nickname "Kirppu" ("The Flea"), which the club used in its farewell message after her transfer.

Kainulainen has earned her bachelor's degree in psychology.
