Naja Poje Mihelič
Naja Poje Mihelič is a Slovenian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. She represents Slovenia at senior international level.

Naja first started playing football with the boys in her hometown before joining the girls' club NK Krim at the age of twelve. She later moved to ŽNK Radomlje, where her rapid development attracted the attention of Sassuolo.
She says her family supported her from the very beginning. According to Naja, her parents never cared which sport she chose—they simply wanted her to stay active and have always encouraged her football journey.
Before focusing entirely on football, Naja also practised ju-jitsu and handball as a child. Her mother recalls that she was always an energetic and competitive athlete who loved trying different sports.
Naja trains seven to eight times per week. She believes there is no secret to success other than hard work and trying to improve a little every day.
To balance elite football and education, she attended Gimnazija Šiška in Ljubljana, a sports-oriented secondary school where football training is integrated into the daily timetable. She says this helped her combine studies and football much more effectively.
Naja made her Serie A debut for Sassuolo in January 2024 while still only 17 years old.
