Emma Veletanlic is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a defender. She represents Bosnia and Hercegovina at senior international level.
Emma was born and raised in Denmark, but has Bosnian family roots, making her eligible to represent both countries internationally. She chose Bosnia and Herzegovina at senior level in 2023.
She progressed through every Danish youth national team from Under-16 to Under-19 before changing her international allegiance.
Emma played more than 100 matches for Kolding IF, making her one of the club's most experienced young defenders before leaving for Italy.
Joining Napoli marked the first time she had moved abroad, leaving Denmark to experience a new league, language and football culture.
As a teenager, Emma described herself as the teammate with the best dance moves in the dressing room. She loved choosing the music before training and said relaxing while listening to music was her favourite way to prepare for matches.
If she could eat only one meal for the rest of her life, Emma's choice would be her mother's homemade pizza, especially when it is cooked on the barbecue.Β
Emma said that if she didn't live in Denmark, she would happily live in Los Angeles, because she loves big cities and the football opportunities there.
