Janelle Cordia

Janelle Cordia grew up in Columbia, Missouri, and attended Hickman High School before becoming a four-year player at the University of Missouri.

She was a triple major, graduating from Missouri with studies in secondary education, mathematics and psychology.

Cordia played in every single game of her collegiate career, finishing with 84 appearances for the Missouri Tigers.

She scored the fastest goal in Missouri women's soccer history, finding the net just 44 seconds into a match against Northwestern State during her sophomore season.

Her first move abroad took her to Finland, where she signed for Åland United in 2011.

Her professional career has taken her through four countries, including the United States, Finland, Denmark and Italy.

At Missouri, she also gave back to the game as an assistant soccer coach at her former school, Hickman High School.

Away from her own playing career, she has also worked with young footballers: Fortuna Hjørring named her as the camp leader for its StjerneskudsCamp in 2021.

Janelle is a big dog lover and has a friend of her own - Stella Mia.
