Kaitlyn Prior Parcell

Parcell was born in Spring Lake, New Jersey, but grew up in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles.

Before concentrating on football, she also played lacrosse at Palisades Charter High School.

During high school, she appeared on a television show as a lacrosse player for one episode.

Her favourite athletes include Eli Manning, Michael Strahan, Kobe Bryant, Russell Westbrook and Marta. She wore No. 24 at Georgetown, with Kobe Bryant's number being part of the inspiration.

If she had not played football, Parcell says she would have been a dancer, describing dancing as something she does whenever she gets the chance.

She particularly enjoys spending time at the beach, and has listed surfing among her hobbies.

Parcell founded Big Sister Sports, an organisation aimed at helping middle-school students develop as student-athletes.

She was also involved with A Call Away, an organisation supporting families with loved ones in hospital.

At Georgetown, she pursued a master's degree in integrated marketing communications and hoped eventually to work for the New York Giants.

Her ideal three items for a desert island were a Kindle, paint supplies and a friend.

Kaitlyn is a big dog lover and has a best friend of her own, Kona.

Parcell spent her undergraduate career at Santa Clara University, where she played midfield before moving to Georgetown as a graduate transfer and defender.
