Rie Skotte Jørgensen

Rie is from Tjæreborg, near Esbjerg, and played for Varde before moving to Fortuna Hjørring.

She moved to the Dana Cup Academy and Fortuna as a 16-year-old, describing the change as an opportunity to test herself and see how far she could go. One of the practical reasons she chose the academy was that she no longer had to spend so much time travelling, allowing her to focus fully on football.

She continued her education alongside football, moving on to Hjørring Gymnasium after completing 10th grade at HPR.

Before breaking into Fortuna's senior environment, she was part of the club's U19 setup and also travelled with the women's first-team group for training camps in Germany and the Netherlands.

Her early senior breakthrough at Fortuna moved quickly: in autumn 2025 she stepped into the A-Liga squad, appeared in European competition and earned her first Denmark U19 call-up in the same period.
