Signe Bundgaard Carstens is a Danish footballer who plays as a midfielder. She has represented Denmark at youth international level.
She is originally from Frejlev, near Aalborg.
Signe Carstens is a twin, and her sister Mathilde is also a professional footballer.
The Carstens twins played together for Fortuna Hjørring and Celtic, before also sharing a squad at Brøndby.
A serious ligament injury kept her out for an extended period during her first spell at Fortuna Hjørring.
After leaving Celtic, she moved to Sweden to join AIK, describing the opportunity to play in the Damallsvenskan as an honour and saying she was looking forward to getting to know a new group of players and staff.
Moving to Brøndby reunited her with Mathilde once again, meaning the twins became club teammates for the third time in their senior careers.
Her return to Fortuna Hjørring in February 2026 came after spells in Scotland, Sweden and Zealand, completing a football journey through three very different environments before returning north.
