Jimena López Fuentes is a Mexican defender who represented Mexico at the senior international level and played in five countries, including the United States, Spain, Iceland, Mexico, and the Netherlands, and won the NWSL Shield.

Jimena was born and raised in Mexico City before moving to the United States to pursue her football career at the collegiate level.

She is a high-achieving student-athlete who maintained a 3.46 GPA in Psychology while playing for Texas A&M.

She is known for her versatility on the pitch, having won "Midfielder of the Year" in 2019 and "Co-Defender of the Year" in 2020 during her time in the SEC.

She participated in the 2014 Youth Summer Olympics, representing Mexico at just 15 years old.

After years of playing in Spain, Iceland, and the US, she returned to Mexico in 2024 to join "Las Amazonas" (Tigres UANL).
