Itzel González Rodríguez is a Mexican goalkeeper who represented the Mexico national team at the senior level and has won two major titles in her club career.
She was so dedicated to her education that she redshirted her 2015 college season to ensure she could focus on her final year of eligibility and her complex major.
She made history by becoming one of the first Mexican goalkeepers in Liga MX Femenil to move to a major European club when she joined Sevilla on loan.
In the 2025 CONCACAF W Champions Cup final, she made two penalty saves during regulation time.
She credits her engineering background for helping her analyze the game and maintain a disciplined mindset on the pitch.
