Lilli Halttunen

Lilli Halttunen started playing football at the age of seven after a friend from ringette introduced her to a Leppävaara Pallo team.

As a teenager, she initially felt she had only just managed to get into HJK's youth setup, and later described her place in the BSM team as something of a surprise to herself.

She made her senior Finland debut against Montenegro in October 2024 and scored in her first appearance.

Her 2024 season also brought a league title and the Finnish Women's Cup with HJK.

She moved abroad for the first time when she joined Sweden's Linköping FC, describing the prospect of leaving Finland as both exciting and a little nerve-racking.
