Chiara Messerli

Messerli was born and raised in Switzerland to a Swiss father and Brazilian mother.

At Team Bern-West, she was the only girl in the club and initially had to prove that she could play football alongside the boys.

The 2018 U19 European Championship in Switzerland became one of the most memorable experiences of her football life after she was unexpectedly promoted from the U17 setup into the older squad.

Her move to Molde marked her first spell outside Switzerland after a football career that had previously been based entirely in her home country.

Her 2025 season was strong enough to earn a nomination for Player of the Year in Norway's First Division, where she finished with 14 league goals in 22 appearances.
