Mylena Carioca was born in São Gonçalo in the state of Rio de Janeiro, which inspired the nickname “Carioca” used throughout her football career.

Mylena took her first important football steps through the Karanba social project, which helps young players from underserved communities pursue football and education opportunities.

Ferroviária honored her after she surpassed 100 matches for the club, a milestone reached by relatively few players in the women's program. She finished her Ferroviária career with 109 appearances and 23 goals.
