Michela Croatto

She was born in Villach, Austria, to a Carinthian mother and an Italian father.

She started playing club football at just six years old, mostly training with boys before switching to girls’ teams.

As a teenager, she joined the Austrian Football Association’s Women’s Academy in St. Pölten.

Football runs in the family — her father and brother are both active as players and coaches

She speaks four languages — German, English, Italian, and Spanish.

Her idol when she was growing up was Cristiano Ronaldo.

With Sturm Graz, she became Austrian vice-champion twice, in 2022 and 2023.

Her nickname on and off the pitch is “Micki.”

On a day off, she loves going into the city, having coffee, meeting friends, and listening to music at home.

She always puts on her left shoe before her right one — a quirky pre-game ritual.

Before matches, she listens to her favorite song “Mamacita.”
